Certified Rolfer
Thank you Chris! I had no idea that Rolfing could help cure my allergies and asthma, as well as address my overall mind-body-spirit balance. The time you took to really get to know me and my body was unlike anything I've ever experienced with other healers.

I became interested in Rolfing® Structural Integration after hearing stories about its ability to improve people's body structures. Intrigued, I tried the standard sessions (Ten Series), but wondered what it could do for me, since my structure seemed fine. I'd been practicing tai chi for several years already and thought I was taking good care of my body. At the time I was suffering from chronic knee pain but somehow didn't make the connection between that and my structural patterns.
I was quite surprised when my Rolfer™ pointed out that I walked somewhat bow-legged, with my weight on the outsides of my feet. She then helped me regain a natural stride, which allowed my whole foot to work properly and took pressure off my knees. This happened over the course of several sessions, during which I felt like I was learning to walk all over again.
That first series helped me with my knee pain and taught me the important link between my body's structure and my quality of life. It showed me that Structural Integration could quickly make changes in my body that might have taken much longer, even years, with just tai chi or yoga. I was hooked.
I have continued to receive Rolfing Structural Integration. It has deepened
my awareness of my body, as well as my mental and emotional states, which
affect my structural patterns. This awareness helps me live life more
fully, not getting stuck in negative patterns as often.
I became a Certified Rolfer in 2007, following over a decade of study
in mind and body healing. I have also helped people as a certified Asian
bodywork therapist, treating the body, mind, and spirit by using massage
techniques. I am continuing to develop -- professionally through more
advanced training in Rolfing and personally through practices of tai chi,
qi gong, and meditation.
My approach to Structural Integration is to work gently, with a sense
of humor, committed to addressing each client's issues and guiding him
or her into a more active role in the healing process. I feel fortunate
to be able to help people enjoy greater and easier use of their bodies.
